A second of 3 young fledglings. One of 3 young fledglings - first flight out of the nest. I was photographing Montezuma's Quail at about 8000' elevation in the Portal region of the Arizona Chiricahua Mountains when a fellow photographer spotted three " first-day-out-of-the " juveniles. One parent was close by vocalizing to them, trying to get them to fly away from their nest.
